SHOW ME THEUGLY WORKFLOW.
Manual steps, brittle scripts, repetitive decisions, awkward internal tools, or something people tolerate because nobody has fixed it yet. Those are often the best starting points.
Good software usually starts with a problem people have learned to ignore.
The interesting opportunity is not another generic app. It is a workflow with enough friction, repetition, or hidden knowledge that better software can materially change how the work gets done.
That can mean automation, a purpose-built interface, an AI-assisted tool, or simply removing five unnecessary steps. The technology should earn its place by making the problem smaller.
WHAT TO BRING / 02
Enough detail to make it interesting.
Show how it works now.
Screenshots, steps, spreadsheets, handoffs, scripts, copy-paste rituals, or the explanation everyone gives the new person.
Point to the expensive part.
Time, errors, duplicated work, waiting, context switching, training burden, or decisions that depend too heavily on one person knowing the trick.
Define what better would feel like.
Fewer steps, faster decisions, clearer information, less rework, or something that simply becomes obvious instead of annoying.
